Our Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) is a vital part of the life of West Hills. Each year dedicated women and men serve our families and staff with multiple events and activities geared to build community and friendships.

We want to extend a hearty welcome to any and all parents who want to come find out about the inner workings of the various events that go on at West Hills Christian School.  Opportunities to be involved abound, so come join us the first Friday of every month at 2:00 pm in the Faculty Lounge to get connected with other parents!  We’ll see you there!

School Year Coordination

Guardian Angels

The Guardian Angel program connects new families with existing families to welcome them to West Hills Christian School.  Both the parents and students are connected to help with a smooth, welcoming transition.

Is our primary kid-driven fundraiser for the school.  The money raised in 2014 will go to provide computers for the school. This years Hoop-A-Thon will be held March 7 and will need LOTS of hands to help out. If you’d like to be involved please contact:

Prayer Group

We serve a great God who hears and answers our deepest concerns. Join us on Mondays at 8:30a in the apartments next to the school. Our prayer team would be happy to join you in prayer. We will consider your prayer requests confidential unless you specify otherwise. Send specific prayer requests to: James 5:13-16

Room Parents

Coordinate classroom extra-curricular activities in support of teachers. Please contact specific teachers for needs and room parent assignments.

Soles 2 Souls Fun Run

We are a small, affordable, chip-timed race focused on creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for runners of all ages and abilities, and we encourage you to bring the kids, whether this is their first or their 10th race. Both the 5k and 10k courses follow the Fanno Creek Trail, a paved path protected by parks and greenspace…very family-friendly! Whether you’re new to running, walking as part of a more active lifestyle or using the baby jogger to hit the trails or roads, come and join us!

Registration Individual Adult Rate: $12.00

Youth Rate (10 and under) $6.00

4 and under are FREE (no need to register)

Registration closes June 4th – after that can register day of for $15.00/$10.00

Deadline for mail-in entry or drop off at school (check or cash) May 15th.

Race Day Schedule

7:30 am – Packet pick-up and Day-of-Race Registration

8:30 am – 10K Start

9:00 am – 5K Start

10:00 am – FREE Crusader Kids Run 400m dash

9:30 – 11:00 am – Post Race Festivities

Race Day Registration

We will have race day registration for the 5k and the 10k starting at 7:30 am. Race day registration will cost $15 per person, payable to West Hills Christian School by cash or check only.

The school’s parking lot will provide ample space for our participants to use.

Packet Pick-up

We will have race day packet pick-up starting at 7:30 am for those who have pre-registered. If you would like to beat the rush of race day, packets will also be available at West Hills Christian School located at 7945 SW Capitol Hill Road in Portland on Friday, June 6th from 2pm – 4pm.

Course and Markings

Each mile along both the 5k and the 10k routes will be indicated with signs. Signage and volunteers will be at all intersections directing you as required.

Aid Stations

There will be one aid station on the 5k course near the halfway mark. The 10K participants will have another. Water will be provided at the aid station.

Trail Etiquette

The Greenway/Fanno Creek trails are shared by runners, cyclists and rollerbladers. Please show common courtesy to others. We ask that you only run 2 abreast, call out when you are about to pass someone (“Passing on the left”), and only pass on the left hand side. No littering please.


Headphones are allowed, but for the safety of others on the course, we ask that you leave four-footed runners at home.


The flush toilet facilities of the park will be open with restrooms near the start/finish line. There are no restrooms on the course.

Race Results

Race results will be available on our website later on race day.

Race Awards

There will be ribbons for overall winners and age group winners.
