Location

Our campus is located in the beautiful West Hills of Portland, Oregon. Near Multnomah Village, we are just minutes from Interstate-5.

Mission Statement

West Hills Christian School is committed to providing an exceptional Christian education in accordance with God’s Word.

By God’s grace and through the power of His Spirit, West Hills Christian School endeavors to provide each of its students with a:

  • Saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through personal relationship with the Savior
  • Firm foundation in biblical principles
  • Desire to live transformed by God’s Word and influencing the world for Christ

History

Founded in 1949

Accreditation

West Hills Christian School is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC).

Organization

West Hills Christian School is operated as an interdenominational non-profit corporation.

Enrollment

From a small beginning of 12 students in 1949, West Hills Christian Schools currently enrolls a student body of 432 students in Kindergarten – eighth grade

Denominations

Students attend over 75 different churches in the area. Interdenominational Chapels are held weekly on campus for the students and staff.

87% Caucasian, 7% Asian, 3% Mixed-race, 2% Hispanic, 1% African American

High School Continuation

Over 1600 students have graduated from West Hills Christian School. Approximately 92% of alumni 2011 are now attending colleges and universities.

Finances

The 2013-14 operational budget is $3.7 million. Approximately 13% of the budget is supplemented with outside income. Financial Aid is provided to 27% of the student body.

Academic Achievements

In 2011-2012 we converted our standardized testing to Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), a computerized adaptive test which helps teachers, parents, and administrators improve learning for all students and make informed decisions to promote a child’s academic growth.
