Location

Our campus is located  in the beautiful West Hills of Portland, Oregon. Located near Multnomah Village, we are just minutes off of I-5.

Mission Statement

The primary purpose of West Hills Christian School is to assist parents in the Christian training of their children by providing a Christ-centered academic environment that encourages the development of a Christian world-view emphasizing academic excellence, Christian character, responsible citizenship, service to others, and transformational leadership.

History

Founded in 1949, we are currently celebrating our 64th year.

Accreditation

West Hills Christian School is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC).

Organization

West Hills Christian School is operated as an interdenominational non-profit corporation.

From 12 students in 1949, West Hills Christian Schools currently enrolls a student body of 415 students.

Denominations

Students attend over 64 different churches in the area. Interdenominational Chapels are held weekly on campus for the students and staff.

High School Continuation

Over 1600 students have graduated from West Hills Christian School. Approximately 92% of alumni 2011 are now attending colleges and universities.

Finances

The 2012-13 operational budget is $3.7 million. Approximately 13% of the budget is supplemented with outside income. Financial Aid is provided to 27% of the students.

Academic Achievements

In 2011-2012 we converted our standardize testing to MAP, or the Measure of Academic Progress, is a computerized adaptive test which helps teachers, parents, and administrators improve learning for all students and make informed decisions to promote a child’s academic growth.
