Meet Our Team
“The teachers, staff and leadership really care about our children, and are committed to academic excellence and providing a strong spiritual foundation. They make learning fun and encourage our children to grow academically, physically, emotionally and spiritually.”
WHCS Parent
Our teachers have dedicated their lives to the ministry of Christian education, considering their work more than a job, but a calling. Our entire West Hills faculty is committed to providing an education that equips your child for success.
West Hills is dedicated to the professional development of its faculty with a focus on research-based practices for the most effective educational experience. All our teachers are certified by either the state and/or ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International), and we provide an educational stipend each year so our teachers can take continuing education classes and/or workshops. As a Christian school, each of our staff members also testifies to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, agrees with our Statement of Faith, and models to our students a healthy lifestyle based on the teachings of the New Testament.
Excellent teachers are essential for an outstanding school. West Hills Christian School prioritizes recruiting and retaining first-class teachers who can bring out the best in every child. Our faculty members are certified, excellent educators and committed Christians.
The West Hills Christian School Board of Directors serves, by God’s grace, as trustees of the school in stewarding our long-term vision and ensuring our Mission is accomplished. Utilizing the Carver model of governance, the responsibility for school management is delegated to the Head of School who is empowered and held accountable to achieve clearly defined outcomes.
The WHCS Board prayerfully seeks to govern in accordance with Scripture as well as our school bylaws, policies, and Statement of Faith. Comprised of parent representatives and community leaders, Directors are selected for three-year terms and may serve multiple terms.
