Volunteering at West Hills

We love our volunteers here at West Hills! Whether it’s Cookie Friday or a special field trip, we rely on an army of volunteers to make our school run like clockwork.

Here’s a few opportunities to consider:

  • Pizza Thursday
  • Recess
  • Watch D.O.G.S.
  • Monthly All Hands
  • Hoop-A-Thon
  • Daddy/Daughter Dance
  • And many more!

Ready to get plugged in or have a question? You can contact our Volunteer Coordinators at volunteer@whcs.org.

Volunteer Policy

While the expectation is that every parent or guardian serves and engages in a variety of school happenings, West Hills does not require a specific number of volunteer hours. Though volunteer hours are not a requirement, it is an expectation that all parents give back to the school through service, volunteerism and participation. Our check-in system does track volunteer hours since that information is helpful in pursuing grants.

In order to participate as a volunteer, every adult needs to fill out a background check and complete an Adult-to-Student Contact Policy Form. Once a background check is complete, they will be enrolled in our HelpCounter system. HelpCounter is essential matching opportunities to the role the volunteer that wants to serve in.

Notice of Nondiscriminatory Policy as to Students

West Hills Christian School admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, and national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
